This DMSO comes from pharmaceutical lots. This DMSO is therefore not of technical quality. This substance is free of carcinogenic substances. The specific gravity is 1.099. The purity is between 99.9% and 99.99%. The water content is between 0.003% and 0.01% maximum. The reduction ratio is between 0.003% and 0.01% maximum. It is offered here as a pure chemical product.
Remarks
Keep away from sources of ignition. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. At low temperatures (below +18°C), DMSO may crystallize. For this reason, it should be kept above 20°C. If DMSO crystallizes once due to too cold storage, simply warm it up in a warm water bath. The water temperature should not exceed 40°C. This gentle heating makes it liquid and reusable. Never heat it in a microwave.
Interestingly, DMSO does not increase in size when frozen, as water would. Instead it contracts and crystallizes.
