MCT - Medium Chain Triglycerides
MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) are fatty acids with a particular metabolism: they are processed by the liver without having to be emulsified by bile or oxidized by carnitine in the mitochondria of the blood, as are other fats. They go directly into the liver where they are rapidly transformed into ketones and then released into the bloodstream as caprylic and capric acids.
MCTs are very present in coconut oil (nearly 60%) and palm nut oil (50%).
Ingredient
Non-hydrogenated coconut oil titrated in caprylic acid and capric acid.
Use
1 tablespoon per day or 15 ml.
Capacity
500 ml.
