Description
Phycocyanin, the active substance of spirulina
Phycocyanin is the most valuable pigment in the micro-alga Spirulina (recognized by science as a superfood) and in blue-green algae in general. It captures and transforms light energy into biochemical energy that the algae uses to manufacture its organic matter.
It contributes, for example, to the richness of spirulina in minerals, amino acids, proteins, sugars, water-soluble vitamins and enzymes.
There are 140 mg of phycocyanin in 1 g of fresh spirulina.
La phycocyanine, présente dans la spiruline fraîche, est reconnue pour lutter contre la faiblesse du système immunitaire.
