By their composition, coconutoil* and olive oil are very different. Coconut oil, which is mostly composed of saturated fatty acids, can be heated at high temperatures without any problem and is very easily digested. It is therefore particularly well suited for everyday cooking.
The low-fat, high-carbohydrate diets that have been recommended in recent years are now being questioned by nutrition experts. One of the disadvantages of these diets is that they have little satiety. Thus, the feeling of hunger returns quickly and in the end we eat more. In addition, excess carbohydrates are transformed into fat!
A high-fat diet not only tastes better, but is also digested more slowly and satisfies hunger for a longer period of time. Fats act as an energy reserve. Fat-soluble vitamins can only be properly absorbed with a sufficient supply of fat. As a rule, a low-fat diet is bad for your health.
Half of coconutoil is composed of lauric acid, which is also found in breast milk. Unrefined coconut oil can be kept for up to 24 months because it is 95% saturated fatty acids; it resists oxidation and does not go rancid.
Through a very respectful manufacturing process, this virgin coconut oil has been isolated without aflatoxin, without chemical solvents, without steam deodorization. A virgin oil that has the subtle but authentic taste of the coconut. Thanks to its properties, it is particularly suitable for cooking - it is an ideal fat for cooking.
Whether for vegetarian dishes, wok cooking, sweet dishes and desserts, it can be heated to high temperatures without becoming harmful and, moreover, it gives dishes a delicious taste! Coconut oil is a vegetable fat that is easy to spread, so it is perfect for making delicious spreads.
Different from butter and margarine, it contains no cholesterol or trans fatty acids, no emulsifiers, no coloring agents, no acidifying agents, no synthetic flavors or antioxidants, no preservatives and no water (often found in margarines).
In massage, coconut oil is an excellent carrier of active substances (essential oils for example) because it is quickly absorbed by the skin. *Despite its solid appearance, it owes its name "oil" because it becomes liquid at a temperature of 25°C.
